For our brand-new blog posts this year, we are planning to go bigger and better! We have prepared a list of interesting and useful entries which will hopefully make you feel inspired for your new bathroom project. So, keep us in mind and use our expertise for your future projects!
So, to get started with the blog, in our February post we decided to deconstruct one of our most popular bathroom projects ever! To show you what the brief was, how we got to the end-result and show you all those little things in the design that you might have missed from our portfolio images.
Let’s see the before photos…
As you can see the bathroom was old and dated. However, our client liked aspects of the classic and elegant flare that it captured in the 90’s. Therefore, it became clear from the beginning that we should maintain some of the elegance and glamour a classic style brings, but with a contemporary twist.
The challenge was to stay true to the classic style while providing all the functional parts of the bathroom that our couple desired to make the space work for them, and to have a completely white bathroom that captured their personality and avoid a clinically bland looking bathroom.
First, we start with an Inspiration Board
For the layout we proposed to remove some of the dividing walls that separated the bathroom from the bedroom, creating the feeling of space without losing important storage that existed in the enclosed space between the bedroom and the bathroom.
The proposed new layout
The customer was thrilled with the initial plans, after a couple tweaks here and there the design was finalised and the planning and building could get underway, and boy was it fun!
There were lots of bespoke features in this project so although our in-house fitters on site were being challenged to the maximum, we were able to achieve everything we set out for this fabulous bathroom.
It has proven to be one of our prospective client’s favourites, particularly with details such as lighting under the bath and double basin units – showing how an all-white bathroom design can be elevated to the next level to get the WOW FACTOR!
Here is the finished result of this gorgeous bathroom
