Our client was looking to turn a slightly dated bathroom into something luxurious that would complement their new bedroom while adding a Master En-Suite. Keeping in mind the age of the house, it was important we had a few nods to the classic look. Therefore, our design features patterned tiles along with the more natural look of the wood effect floor tiles, helping bring this look together.
The original bathroom was looking a little outdated.
We used elegant clean lines on the bath and brassware to give a streamlined look.
Adding interesting wall lights and spot lights in the floor help accentuate the luxurious feel in this naturalistic bathroom. The wood effect combined with the grey palette hinted at a Scandinavian influence which teamed nicely with the paint colour the client was drawn to.
To really transform this space, it would require a better use of the existing layout of the room. One of the aims from the outset was to configure a bath into the bay window area – creating an amazing focal point of the room which is visible from the bedroom.
The addition of a recess in the shower area not only creates a lovely clean design feature but eliminates the need for chrome baskets attached to walls. The under cabinet unit for the basin allows plenty of storage along with the cabinet space behind the illuminating mirrored doors. This keeps the bathroom looking streamlined and pristine.
